CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Spokane County officials closed the west end of Bear Lake Regional Park today after vandalism damaged trees, a portable toilet and a restroom; the east side remains open until the park fully reopens May 15 (the move follows a recent $3.4 million renovation). The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ Local private colleges are urging state lawmakers to restore cuts to the Washington College Grant that lowered aid for students at schools like Gonzaga & Whitworth.
