  • Spokane-based Viella LLC has acquired the printing company at 12005 E. Trent and will rebrand the business to Viella Brand Communications within a year — all existing employees, services, and operations will remain unchanged.  Spokane Journal of Business

CULTURE NEWS

  • Tuesday night, the Gonzaga Orchestra delivered a vibrant concert at the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center—featuring super-virtuoso Gil Shaham alongside program highlights including Mozart’s overture and Brahms’s Concerto in D, which brought powerful unity to the performance despite parking challenges.  The Spokesman-Review

EDUCATION NEWS

  • East Valley School District’s $220 million bond to rebuild two schools failed after officials tallied 54.6% Yes votes on Wednesday; the board may propose new tax measures in February, April, or November if a resolution is approved by Feb. 27.  The Spokesman-Review

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The state will launch WAZIP in April to offer discounts for trucking companies to switch to electric vehicles, aiming to cut diesel emissions. Some local business owners say they remain cautious about EV performance in cold weather.  KXLY
  • Federal regulators urge drivers with Dodge, RAM, Jeep or Chrysler vehicles to check the NHTSA recall list and have faulty airbags replaced at a dealership — affected vehicles should not be driven until they are fixed.  KXLY

HEALTH NEWS

  • Maddie’s Place secured $2 million to keep its neonatal transitional care facility open through summer 2026, and CEO Shaun Cross is working on Senate Bill 6024 to create a sustainable funding model while planning a campus expansion (budgeting up to $20 million) to serve more families.  Spokane Journal of Business

SPORTS NEWS

  • Kiree Huie helped lead the Eagles to a key win in Missoula with solid rebounds and scoring during a recent sweep. He hopes to gain an extra year of eligibility and stay with the team to build momentum through the season.  The Spokesman-Review
  • Mark Few, Gonzaga's longtime coach, is a finalist for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The announcement will be made Apr. 4 during the Final Four and an induction celebration is set for Aug. 14 if he is honored.  The Spokesman-Review
  • Gonzaga fans received limited edition One Piece cards after the game while scalpers outside pushed offers starting at $100 — the final giveaway in the series has spurred local buzz about card values online.  The Spokesman-Review
  • Gonzaga beat WSU 83-53 in a game played last night — the clear score shows Gonzaga’s strong performance throughout the matchup.  KXLY
