Consuelo Apartments once was home to Jane O’Brien’s nursing home as she cared for seniors despite a 1939 city rule limiting patients — she ran the care center until selling the building in 1965.

Jane, who moved from Canada, changed how elder care was done in these early days.

An analysis by MyPerfectResume found that Washington gained 2.3% in real wages and Idaho led with a 3.1% increase between 2020 and 2024, while most workers saw a 2.6% drop after inflation.
