- ➤ Corbin Park began as an undeveloped fairground and horse racing track two miles north of downtown Spokane—Daniel C. Corbin later platted 16 city blocks and gave the city a four‐block park in 1900. Over time the park evolved to add sports fields and playgrounds—its historic district was listed on the Spokane Register in 1991 and on the National Register in 1992. The Spokesman-Review
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Washington State University began a study on March 16 to see how charcoal plant matter and hemp affect the yields of wheat, corn and chickpeas.
