ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A massive fire engulfed a two-story duplex and several cars near East Mission Avenue in Spokane Valley on Wednesday night at about 7:40 p.m.—firefighters contained the blaze, rescued a cat, and displaced four residents while Mission Avenue remains closed for about two hours as fuel leaked from vehicles. - ➤ Authorities are searching for 78-year-old Robert Faultersack, who left his Thornton home on Tuesday and was last seen near Bozeman in the Belgrade area driving his 2015 aqua green Toyota Prius with a dent on the driver’s side; he has memory issues and diabetes and may have become confused while heading to visit his sister and attend church in Rosalia. - ➤ Jaskaran Singh—a 31-year-old native from Gujarat—was found guilty of possessing ecstasy worth over $7.8M near Fourth of July Creek Road after his trial began on March 17, and he faces up to 20 years in prison with sentencing set for June 25. FOX 28 Spokane

- ➤ Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church is hosting an Everyday Peacemaking Workshop on March 29 led by Global Immersion Co-Founder Jer Swigart. - ➤ Spokane Valley schools are still fixing problems after the pandemic forced a long period of virtual learning—students lost important social and academic support when they could not meet in person. - ➤ Registration is open for Spokane's Downtown Spring Clean Week, scheduled for April 29 to May 2—volunteers can sign up individually or as teams at the downtown Spokane office while supplies and assignments will be provided to clean sidewalks, parking lots and alleyways. KXLY
- ➤ The Spokane County Veterans Services Center doubled claim awards in 2024 from $9 million to more than $20 million — serving over 8,300 veterans compared to 1,700 in 2017.
