A massive fire engulfed a two-story duplex and several cars near East Mission Avenue in Spokane Valley on Wednesday night at about 7:40 p.m.—firefighters contained the blaze, rescued a cat, and displaced four residents while Mission Avenue remains closed for about two hours as fuel leaked from vehicles.

Authorities are searching for 78-year-old Robert Faultersack, who left his Thornton home on Tuesday and was last seen near Bozeman in the Belgrade area driving his 2015 aqua green Toyota Prius with a dent on the driver’s side; he has memory issues and diabetes and may have become confused while heading to visit his sister and attend church in Rosalia.
