CRIME NEWS

  • Authorities issued a silver alert for 78-year-old Terry Delozier, who has dementia and lacks needed medication, after he was last seen at 6 a.m. March 18 leaving Dishman Rd in Spokane Valley and they believe he will head to Portland (he is 5’8 and wore a blue and gray flannel shirt with blue jeans).  FOX 28 Spokane
  • The U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force & its partners safely arrested convicted felon Fredric G. Hamberg late on March 20th at 11:55 p.m. in the 7900 block of N. Division after linking him to a January drive-by shooting on N. Newport Highway, and he now faces charges including assault 2nd degree and unlawful possession of a firearm 2nd degree.  Spokane County

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Homeowners in Spokane Valley are facing insurance challenges after the Gray and Oregon Road fires burned 20,000 acres and destroyed 366 homes—some companies are canceling claims immediately. Local real estate agent Karene Loman explained that options like the Washington FAIR Plan now cover 300 homes while 14% of properties remain uninsurable.  KHQ

SPORTS NEWS

  • Spokane is set to host the western half of the women’s NCAA tournament next weekend after the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games, with a 50% chance of seeing the national champion pass through to the Final Four.
