  • Spokane Watercolor Society will host its 2025 National Juried Show at The MAC — in the Helen South Alexander Gallery at 2316 W. 1st Avenue — from April 3 through May 4, featuring 30 paintings chosen from national entries and an awards reception on April 13 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. where Michael Holter will select winners for prizes over $2,000.  FOX 28 Spokane

SPORTS NEWS

  • After nearly six years without a playoff win, the Spokane Chiefs ended a 10-game playoff losing streak by defeating the Vancouver Giants 4-1 Friday night at Langley Events Centre—Andrew Cristall scored two goals, including an empty-netter, to give the Chiefs a series lead; their next game will be played today at 4 p.m. in Langley before the series shifts to Spokane if needed.  The Spokesman-Review
  • Former Spokane Indians standout and MLB player, coach and manager Tommie Reynolds died on March 19 at age 83. He had a long career in baseball spanning more than 30 years – playing in the minor leagues and coaching in the majors.  The Spokesman-Review
