- ➤ Donations near $75,000 were raised on Saturday during a telethon—supporting Joya Child and Family Development—with individual gifts from $10 to $1,000. Executive Director Colleen Fuchs said the funds will help more than 340 local children and families receive therapy and special education services. FOX 28 Spokane

- ➤ Artist Chris Bovey opened his new larger Vintage Print store — now also home to a neon museum showcasing Spokane’s historic signs — inside the iconic Boulevard Building at 1905 N. - ➤ On Friday night, Shane Rademacher struck out five batters in five shutout innings to lead the Emeralds to a 2 to 0 win over the Indians at Avista Stadium—RBI singles by Thomas Gavello and Jack Payton in the sixth inning provided the only runs in the game. Esmerlin Vinicio pitched three shutout innings and Nicolas Herold earned the save as the team allowed only three hits and no walks while the Indians hit more but did not score. The Spokesman-Review
- ➤ Anglers enjoyed a warm, sunny opening day for trout fishing on April 26th as thousands caught an estimated 852,000 trout across 73 lakes + including areas around Spokane Valley.
