Indigenous Eats—Spokane’s only Native American comfort food restaurant—received a $25,000 national grant to preserve cultural traditions and train its workers in preparing traditional fry bread.
The grant was awarded by the Independent Restaurant Coalition and Chase Innovator Awards to 40 restaurants nationwide.
🎓 Education
UW-Gonzaga Health Partnership marks its 10th anniversary in Spokane Valley, having helped UW continue its medical education after parting with WSU while boosting Gonzaga’s health programs with new undergraduate offerings.
The partnership has grown a hub for med, dental, and allied health education & research in the 840 Building.

Gonzaga University will host Team Egypt for World Cup practice sessions this summer as part of Spokane's Summer of Soccer campaign.
