  • The Spokane Winery Association launched its first Sip Spokane Passport, a $50 booklet of discounts and offers valued at over $300. CRIME NEWS

  • Spokane police say 24-year-old Timothy Allen Jr. — fatally shot with wounds to his head and right foot — died at the scene outside a Maverik on Division and Montgomery around 3:15 a.m. April 25; another person was shot and taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.  KXLY
  • Police arrested 21-year-old William K. Baldwin in North Spokane on April 29 for fatally shooting 24-year-old Hasani Vita near the Amazon Fulfillment Center on West Plains—detectives say a disagreement between them led to the incident on April 21.  KXLY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Spokane County Commissioner Al French secured $7.5 million in state funding to install point-of-entry treatment systems for PFAS contamination in West Plains areas. The funds are expected by early fall — officials will share more details on eligibility and the next steps.  FOX 28 Spokane
