- ➤ On Monday afternoon, the Kalispel Tribe held a tribute at Northern Quest Resort & Casino for the 112 indigenous people missing in Washington state—including 56 women and girls and a 15-year-old from the Colville Reservation—to highlight ongoing challenges in reporting and supporting these cases. - ➤ A second teen was charged Tuesday in Spokane County Superior Court for joining two others in a violent attack on homeless men near the downtown library on April 25—witnesses said the teens threw vodka bottles and a Lime scooter, leading one victim to suffer a serious skull injury that required emergency treatment. - ➤ A 33-million-dollar project will turn 2.4 acres along the Spokane River near Spokane Falls Community College into a Salish Village that serves as a new campus for the Salish School, a community center, and affordable housing—steps to revitalize Salish language and culture.
