  • The Spokane Indians lost 6 to 2 to the Hillsboro Hops on Wednesday as the Hops' relievers shut down their offense at Hillsboro Hops Ballpark — Spokane scored two in the fourth but the Hops pulled ahead for good, and the series resumes Thursday at 6:35 p.m.  The Spokesman-Review
  • Spokane Colleges pitcher Samantha Rensvold discovered her long-lost adopted sister during a Montana tournament last summer (a resemblance first noticed by a teammate) and now excels as a freshman at the plate and on the mound.
