- ➤ Spokane’s 25th annual Blitz Build with Habitat for Humanity begins Wednesday, June 3 in Spokane Valley at 228 S. Carnahan Road where volunteers will help build safe, permanently affordable homes. - ➤ Local developer Jerry Dicker has proposed building a public dock near the Ruby River Hotel on the calm upper Spokane River east of Division Street Bridge to allow safe kayak, canoe, and paddleboard launches — a plan endorsed by City and environmental reviews.
