- ➤ The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Restorative Touch (a massage parlor on North Division Street) on May 29th at 9 a.m. and found two women identified as human trafficking victims (their citizenship status remains unconfirmed) as part of ongoing investigations. - ➤ Spokane police and SWAT arrested a man on Thursday morning in north Spokane after reports of multiple gunshots at 4:30 a.m. in a W. Rockwell Avenue neighborhood near Alberta Street — the house is still under investigation. KXLY

- ➤ Craig Johnson spoke Wednesday night at the Northwest Passages book club on the Steam Plant rooftop + he discussed his new mystery novel Return to Sender, which follows Walt Longmire as a mailman looking for missing Blair McGowan and was released Tuesday. The acclaimed author used an article about a postal route with hard challenges + his childhood love for the U.S. Postal Service to shape the story set in Wyoming's Red Desert region. - ➤ Whitworth University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program earned full CAPTE accreditation after a review in September 2024, granting a five-year accreditation and allowing its students to sit for the National Physical Therapy Exam and apply for licensure across states.
