- ➤ A tanker overturned in Colbert on June 11, spilling about 2,100 gallons of an asphalt-water mix into the Little Spokane River—cleanup contractors are on site and the driver was unharmed. FOX 28 Spokane

- ➤ Two Spokane Rite Aid stores will close as part of the chain's ongoing bankruptcy process, according to documents filed last week with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court; the stores are located at 12420 N. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Spokane Valley deputies arrested 63-year-old Harold D. Thompson Jr., a convicted felon, after an employee reported seeing him on a security video at a business on Fancher Road north of E. Sprague Avenue early on June 11th and investigators recovered power tools and other property along with evidence of a cut fence and broken truck window that led to commercial burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools, and malicious mischief charges. - ➤ A body was discovered in the Spokane River near Upriver Dam early Wednesday morning after dam workers reported it at 6:30 a.m.—the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation as forensic teams began examining the scene. FOX 28 Spokane
- ➤ A 19-year-old woman was arrested on felony charges for suspected DUI hit-and-run incidents late Sunday night when her car struck a pedestrian trying to stop her at Maxwell and Washington and then hit another vehicle at Monroe and Alice, sending both a pedestrian and a woman to the hospital.
