- ➤ Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to a plane crash near Skymeadow Lane and 44th Avenue when an antique open cockpit biplane crashed while taking off from Skymeadow Airpark—both passengers exited safely, and one is being treated for minor injuries as FAA and Spokane County Fire District 8 investigate. - ➤ On June 15th, Spokane Valley and Spokane County Deputies responded to an armed robbery on E. Sprague Avenue; a high-speed chase followed that spanned Spokane and Kootenai Counties, where the suspect carjacked vehicles, fired at officers, and reportedly killed one victim before being fatally shot near Trent & Pines.
