- ➤ Schools across Spokane County are offering free summer meals for kids 18 and under without registration or ID — meals will be available at select school locations from June 23 through the summer. KXLY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Several new laws will affect Washington residents starting July 1 when the gas tax will rise by six cents while tax changes will alter capital gains and estate taxes—another law will protect workers from discrimination based on immigration status. Companies with 50 or more employees will also be required to give a 60-day notice before any mass layoffs beginning July 27. KHQ
