- ➤ On July 24 at about 6:40 p.m., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident where uncooperative suspect Tandy C. Parker, who had access to firearms, refused to surrender and was taken into custody after a four-hour standoff—she was booked for Assault 4th Degree DV and Resisting Arrest. Spokane County

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Department of Education thawed billions in grants Friday to restore funding that had been frozen for months, releasing $4.8 billion for school programs and $1.3 billion for summer, which helps districts adjust their budgets.
