ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, a truck losing hay bales hit a motorcyclist who swerved into a deputy on I-90 eastbound near Four Lakes — both were injured and a detour was set up near milepost 270 by state patrol officials. FOX 28 Spokane
- ➤ The I-90 eastbound near Four Lakes is blocked by a car crash and detours are in place according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. A heat advisory will be in effect from noon Monday to 8 PM PDT Tuesday, warning residents across the area to drink fluids and stay indoors to avoid heat illnesses. KHQ

- ➤ Spokane Public Radio has changed its three program streams to SPR News, SPR Classical, and SPR Jazz to focus each station on a single format and help the station save money. General Manager John Decker said the redesign will keep local music shows on weekends while some listeners have given mixed feedback—prompting hopes for more growth. Spokane Public Radio

- ➤ Spokane native NASA astronaut Anne McClain safely returned to Earth after a 148-day mission aboard the International Space Station, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean off San Diego on August 9.
