- ➤ The memorial service for Sergeant Ken Salas will be held at Spokane Convention Center on Wednesday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. The service is open to the public though seating is limited (the procession route will be announced soon) as the community gathers to honor his long career. Spokane County

- ➤ A Spokane man, 40-year-old Charles McClain, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for supplying drug dealers with fentanyl and other narcotics after agents uncovered drugs, a gun, and $18,000 during a search of his apartment—evidence of his operation in eastern Washington. KXLY
