- ➤ A car crash on I-90 westbound near SR 290 Hamilton Street blocked the right lane around 8:50 a.m. on August 26th — vehicles were moved to the shoulder and emergency vehicles caused long delays. FOX 28 Spokane
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies responded on August 25th to a stabbing at an apartment complex on E. Hawthorne Road, treating an adult female victim (her chest injuries were non-life-threatening) and arresting 33-year-old Michael A. Helms, who later received Naloxone for an overdose reaction before being booked on assault charges. Spokane County
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Spokane City Council approved two measures on Monday—one raising requirements for public works projects to favor union and at-risk workers and benefits, and another that limits ICE from entering private events without a warrant. Both measures will take effect in 30 days. Spokane Public Radio

- ➤ Spokane Regional Health District confirmed a probable measles case in a child and warned that exposed residents should seek medical care because the virus can stay airborne for up to two hours.
