- ➤ A city report shows that more than one-third of the 87 park restrooms need work, with 21 slated for full replacement and 18 requiring major renovations. City officials will study the issue at a board meeting this week and plan to begin updates if the Together Spokane levy passes—improving facility conditions for park visitors. KXLY

- ➤ Spokane Police arrested a 31-year-old man today on north Wiscomb after a standoff began following a domestic violence call in the 7000 block, and SWAT used less lethal tactics when the suspect—who damaged a police drone while armed—emerged from the basement. KHQ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ PBS affiliate KSPS in Spokane faced a 1.2 million funding gap and lost support from many Canadian members after federal cuts this summer—forcing the station to reduce hours or lay off 12 of its 35 staff.
