- ➤ Residents in Spokane have seen Lime’s purple scooters and bikes around town as part of a domestic violence awareness effort—Lime announced yesterday that ride proceeds will be donated to YWCA Spokane during Domestic Violence Action Month. FOX 28 Spokane

- ➤ Spokane will honor Bing Crosby’s legacy this fall with events marking his centennial career anniversary. Mayor Lisa Brown will designate October 10 as “Bing’s Day” on West Sprague — his daughter and local venues will host free and ticketed activities on October 11 and 25 to celebrate his music and local roots. - ➤ Spokane Public Schools and Spokane Parks and Recreation finished their Together Spokane townhall series Tuesday night at Ferris High School and presented a plan for a school bond and park levy that would fund over 200 projects across the community. Officials said the plan will update school buildings, parks and sports facilities based on public feedback before the November vote. KHQ
- ➤ Spokane County officials proclaimed October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month on October 8th, stating that inclusive workplaces are vital for a strong local economy.
