- ➤ Corbin Park began as an undeveloped fairground and horse racing track two miles north of downtown Spokane—Daniel C. Corbin later platted 16 city blocks and gave the city a four‐block park in 1900. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Washington State University began a study on March 16 to see how charcoal plant matter and hemp affect the yields of wheat, corn and chickpeas.
